Russia has demanded that the US end its blockade of Cuba after a record number of nations called for an end to the US aggression.
For the ninth year, the UN general assembly called by a wide margin for the lifting of the blockade.
The vote was 167 to 3, with 4 abstentions.
Only Israel and the Marshall Islands voted with the US.
Despite this vote, both candidates in the US elections have promised to keep pressure on Cuba.
In return, Cuba has offered the US advice on how to conduct genuinely democratic elections.
